Why We Built AIVO
AIVO was born from a simple observation: in Belize, when you call a business after 5pm, nobody answers. When the phone rings during lunch rush at a restaurant, it goes to voicemail. Or worse, it just rings. Every missed call is a missed customer, a missed booking, a missed opportunity.
We saw this happening everywhere. Dental clinics losing new patients to competitors who picked up. Tour operators missing international visitors trying to book from different time zones. Law firms letting potential clients slip through to the next name in the directory.
Meanwhile, large corporations in the US and Europe have AI receptionists, call routing, and 24/7 phone coverage. That technology existed. It just wasn't accessible to a 5-person dental practice in Belize City or a tour company in San Ignacio.
So I built AIVO. An AI voice assistant that knows your business, speaks to your customers professionally, books appointments, answers questions, and never takes a day off, designed and priced for Belizean businesses.
AIVO was built by Karl Hulse as a personal project in 2026. The goal was simple: when someone calls a business, at 2pm or 2am, they get the experience they deserve. The project has been paused since May 2026, and this site is kept online as a live demo.
