Overview

This guide walks you through every step from signing up to handling your first real call. Most businesses complete setup in under 30 minutes.

1. Create Your Account and Complete Onboarding

  1. Visit [aivo.bz/register](/register) to create your account.
  2. Enter your business name, your name, email address, and phone number.
  3. Choose your business type (restaurant, clinic, tour operator, etc.).
  4. Check your inbox and click the confirmation link to verify your email.
  5. The onboarding wizard opens automatically. Follow the prompts to enter your business address, hours, and primary language.

Tip: Use the same email your team already uses for business. You can add additional team members later.

2. Choose Your AI Voice

  1. Navigate to Voice & AI in your dashboard.
  2. Browse the voice library. You can filter by gender, accent, and style.
  3. Click the play icon next to any voice to hear a sample.
  4. Select the voice that best represents your brand and click Set as Default.
  5. If your plan supports Ultra voices, toggle Ultra Quality for more natural intonation.

3. Write Your Custom Greeting

Your greeting is the first thing every caller hears.

Examples:

  • "Thank you for calling [Business Name]! I can help with appointments, hours, and general questions. How can I help you today?"
  • "Hello! You have reached [Business Name]. I am your AI assistant. What can I do for you?"

Tips:

  • Keep it under 20 seconds.
  • Mention one or two things the AI can help with so callers know what to ask.
  • Avoid jargon.

4. Add Knowledge Base Articles

Your AI is only as smart as the information you give it.

  1. Go to Knowledge Base and click New Article.
  2. Start with the essentials: hours, location, services, pricing, and FAQs.
  3. Write naturally, as if you were training a new receptionist.
  4. Click Save & Train after each article.

See Knowledge Base Best Practices for detailed guidance.

5. Make Your First Test Call

  1. In Voice & AI, click the Test Call button.
  2. Speak naturally and ask a few common customer questions.
  3. Check the call transcript in your Calls log.
  4. If the AI gives an incorrect or incomplete answer, update the relevant knowledge base article and retrain.

6. Go Live

Once you are happy with test results:

  1. Go to Settings > Widget and copy your embed code.
  2. Paste it into your website before the closing </body> tag.
  3. Optionally, forward your existing business phone number to your AIVO number.
  4. Monitor the Dashboard for incoming calls and review transcripts daily during the first week.

Congratulations - your AI assistant is live!
